Electronic Arts Inc EA has announced a new game titled EA Sports WRC, officially licensed by the FIA World Rally Championship.
Developed by Codemasters, known for their racing titles such as Colin McRae and Dirt Rally, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S and PC starting Nov. 3, 2023 (or Oct. 31, 2023, for pre-order customers).

Codemasters promises a realistic rally experience with challenging terrain and a focus on time trials, IGN reported.
"This is the rally game we’ve always wanted to make, combining our studio’s deep knowledge and expertise with the power of the official WRC license representing the pinnacle of rally motorsport," said Codemasters senior creative director Ross Gowing.
The game will feature 18 official FIA World Rally Championship locations and over 600km of stages, including various current and iconic rally cars. A "Builder" mode allows players to customize their vehicles and a livery editor lets them personalize the appearance.
The game will offer 32-player cross-platform multiplayer and "Moments" that allow players to relive key scenarios from the 2023 season and classic events from rally history.
Codemasters secured the WRC license in 2020, with the partnership commencing in 2023 after EA's acquisition of Codemasters. This marks EA's expansion into rally racing alongside its successful F1 series, further strengthening its presence in motorsport gaming.
