Activision Blizzard Inc ATVI is celebrating King's 20th anniversary, the interactive entertainment company it acquired in 2016, with a focus on Candy Crush Saga's remarkable success.

Candy Crush Saga generated a staggering $20 billion in revenue since its launch 11 years ago. The game attracts millions of active players every month and accumulates five billion downloads across all devices.

King found immense success with Candy Crush in 2012, and the game's players have collectively completed over five trillion levels.

The title has even entered the realm of esports, hosting a $250,000 tournament in London.

King President Tjodolf Sommestad reflected on the company's two-decade journey and expressed optimism for the future.

"Reaching our 20th anniversary is a mark of the incredible passion and dedication of the entire King team to our mission of making the world playful," Sommestad said.

"As we turn our attention to the future we’ll continue to strive to make our games the best they can possibly be and give players more of what they want." 

Sommestad added that King looks forward to delivering many more years of fun gameplay and memorable moments for its players.
