Microsoft Corporation MSFT is gearing up for the holiday shopping season with a new Xbox Series S bundle that includes three months of Game Pass Ultimate at no extra cost.

This bundle, available from Oct. 31, consists of an Xbox Series S console and a three-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership for $299, which is the same price as a standalone Xbox Series S, the company announced in a blog post.

Microsoft values the Game Pass at $50 for these three months, and after that period, users will need to pay to continue the service.

While the Xbox Series S is not as powerful as the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, it's a solid console, particularly for those gaming on 1080p TVs.

However, note that the Series S doesn't have a disc drive, so you can only play digital versions of games and movies.

This bundle also includes access to the extensive Game Pass library, EA Play games, Game Pass for Windows games, and the ability to stream some Xbox titles to other devices.
