Roblox Corporation's RBLX foray onto the PlayStation platform is showing promising results.
The popular online game secured the third spot in player engagement among Sony Group Corp.'s SONY console users.
This data, shared by Mat Piscatella, the executive director and leading analyst at Circana, places the game creation system developed by Roblox just behind gaming giants "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" and "Fortnite."

He added: "According to Circana's Player Engagement Tracker, during its launch week Roblox ranked 3rd in percentage of PlayStation players that played the title at least once. Only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Fortnite ranked higher."

According to Circana's Player Engagement Tracker, during its launch week Roblox ranked 3rd in percentage of PlayStation players that played the title at least once.
Only Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Fortnite ranked higher.
The statistics for Roblox's presence on both PS5 and PS4 come as no surprise, considering that the official Roblox account revealed more than 65 million players enjoy the game daily.
The game's arrival on PlayStation is expected to further boost these numbers as new players explore its immersive world.
Despite its success, Roblox has faced criticism for issues like the potential exploitation of young players and the profit generated from their contributions.
The game's availability is continuously expanding, now reaching PS5 and PS4 after being accessible on platforms such as Microsoft Corporation's MSFT Xbox, PC, Apple Inc.'s AAPL Mac, iOS, Alphabet Inc.'s GOOGL Android, and Meta Platforms Inc.'s META Meta Quest.
While there are no immediate plans for Roblox to appear on Nintendo ADR's NTDOY Nintendo Switch, the possibility remains open, according to Roblox CEO Davee Baszuki.
