A reliable source known for previous Sony Group Corp.'s SONY PlayStation-related leaks has disclosed information about the upcoming release of the PlayStation 5 Slim in the United States, alongside what appears to be its initial bundle.
According to the leak, reported by Billbil-kun on the French website Dealabs, the PlayStation 5 Slim's standard edition is set to launch in the U.S. on Nov. 8, packaged with Insomniac's "Spider-Man 2," all at a price point of $559.99, which aligns with the cost of the current standard edition PS5 bundled with Spider-Man 2.

Additionally, Billbil-kun detailed that both the standard and digital versions of the PS5 Slim are slated for release on Nov. 10, hinting at a potential staggered release during that week, with the bundle possibly becoming available before the standalone console.
The PlayStation 5 Slim boasts an increased storage capacity of 1TB, a notable improvement from the original console's 825GB. Notably, the new model provides the option to add an Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive to the PS5 Digital Edition.
According to Sony Interactive Entertainment Communications Senior Director Sid Shuman, the new PS5 model was designed to cater to evolving player preferences, offering a more compact form factor while retaining the key technological features.
The design reduces the console's volume by more than 30% and shaves off 18% and 24% of its weight compared to previous iterations.
The PS5 Digital Edition can be equipped with the Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive for an additional cost of $79.99. Once stocks of the existing PS5 model are depleted, the new PS5 Slim will become the sole model available.
