Activision Blizzard Inc ATVI has announced the first expansion for Diablo IV, titled "Vessel of Hatred," during Blizzcon 2023.

This expansion is set to release in late 2024 and will introduce a new character class and a return to the jungle-covered region of Nahantu, first seen in Diablo II, Kotaku reported.

The expansion's story will revolve around the fate of the Prime Evil antagonist, Mephisto, and the demon's plans for Sanctuary after the events of Diablo IV.

One of the significant highlights of this expansion is the addition of a brand-new character class to the game, one that has not been featured in any previous Diablo installment.

Although Blizzard did not provide specific details about this class during the announcement, recent data mining from October hinted at a class named "Spiritborn."

This class is described as a nature-based warrior who wields a glaive and has the potential to be a hybrid between a druid and a barbarian. However, it's important to note that data mining information may not always be entirely accurate.

As more information becomes available, fans can expect additional details about this highly anticipated expansion as its late 2024 release date approaches.
