FromSoftware Inc.'s highly anticipated Elden Ring DLC, titled "Shadow of the Erdtree," is set to release on June 21, nearly two years after the game's original launch.

This DLC will be available on various platforms including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC, promising an eventful summer for Sony Group Corp.'s SONY FromSoftware fans. According to the developer, this is its "largest expansion to date."

The Elden Ring DLC reveal trailer provides a glimpse into what players can expect from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Lasting just three minutes, the trailer showcases numerous new enemies across captivating locations, hinting at a journey through the Land of Shadow, engulfed by "Messmer's flame."

Players will likely encounter Miquella, the brother of the brutal boss Melania, as well as their mother, Queen Marika. The trailer depicts players exploring the Land of Shadow on their faithful steed, Torrent, facing various monstrous foes, including a giant walking brazier, a snake-like creature, and a lion-headed enemy.

While the names of these enemies remain undisclosed, players may anticipate further revelations leading up to the expansion's release or experience them firsthand upon playing the DLC.

Since its initial teaser reveal alongside a teaser trailer last year, anticipation for the DLC has been palpable among Elden Ring enthusiasts.

FromSoftware's silence has only fueled further speculation, despite the game receiving enhancements such as ray tracing and reports of a mobile game spinoff.
