Take-Two Interactive Software Inc's TTWO Grand Theft Auto VI reportedly faces delays amid internal struggles at Rockstar Games concerning a return-to-office mandate.
Set in a fictional Miami, named Vice City, the game — the latest sequel in the immensely popular Grand Theft Auto franchise — was officially announced in December 2023, with a planned release for both PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series in 2025.
However, sources told Kotaku's Zack Zwiezen that the release may slip into 2026 due to production delays.

Benzinga has reached out to Rockstar Games for comment.
This February, Bloomberg reported that Rockstar was mandating a return to the office for its employees effective on April, which sparked frustration and concerns among remote workers.
"While security and quality are reportedly the main reasons Rockstar is instituting the mandate to return to the office, I was told by sources — who wish to remain anonymous to avoid possible retaliation — that development on GTA 6 has started 'falling behind.'," Zwiezen claimed.
He added: "I’m told this has leadership at Rockstar nervous and worried about the game missing the 2025 window and slipping into 2026, and is another big reason the company is pushing for a return to the office in April."
While Rockstar aims for a spring 2025 release, insiders suggest that a fall 2025 launch seems more likely, with a delay to 2026 being considered as a contingency plan.
