Hades 2 has made a grand entrance into the gaming world via Steam Early Access, quickly surpassing its predecessor’s lifetime concurrent player count in just 24 hours.
With a peak of 79,276 players, it more than doubled the original Hades’ peak of 37,749, VGC reported.
This sequel, set in the realm of Greek mythology, promises a rich experience blending storytelling, action gameplay, and dungeon crawling, reintroducing players to iconic figures like Odysseus and Nemesis.

Praised for its refined roguelite progression, the introduction of a compelling new main character, Melinoe, and the inclusion of two distinct sets of levels, the game seems poised to maintain its predecessor’s legacy.
While its full release date and platform availability beyond PC remain unannounced, Supergiant Games, the developer, anticipates the Early Access phase will last at least through 2024.
Given the unpredictable nature of Early Access development, a specific end date has not been set. Fans eager for its arrival on other platforms like PlayStation and Xbox may need to wait until 2025.
