During Electronic Art‘s EA quarterly earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson announced the development team for the upcoming Battlefield game was the largest in the franchise’s history.
This signified a significant investment by EA into the game’s development. EA’s Motive, known for titles like Star Wars: Squadrons and the Dead Space Remake, was enlisted to work on Battlefield, alongside their current project, an Iron Man game.

"A few weeks ago, I was visiting with the teams, and I couldn't be more excited about what they showed and what we were able to play," Wilson said during the call.
"I've just spent a whole bunch of time with the collective Battlefield team playing what they're building and it is going to be another tremendous live service," he added.
Though EA hasn’t officially unveiled the next Battlefield game, rumors suggest an announcement may come in 2024, as per Insider Gaming.
Meanwhile, the confirmation that Battlefield 2042 Season 7 will be its final season hints at a transition towards the new installment.
