A recent leak from Microsoft Corp.’s MSFT Activision has revealed a potential new Warzone map that may accompany the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
The map, named Avalon, has already become a hot topic among fans, stirring controversy over its design, IGN reported.

According to a report by Charlie Intel, the footage of the Avalon map surfaced after Activision inadvertently uploaded a build of the game to the PlayStation Network database, making it accessible to PlayStation 4 users.
While many of the leaked clips have been swiftly removed from social media platforms like X/Twitter, a Reddit post by user JenNettles remains active, where fans are vocally expressing their opinions.
A Water-Heavy Map Draws Criticism
The primary point of contention among fans is Avalon’s design, which prominently features large bodies of water with scattered islands. This layout has not been well-received, with many comparing it unfavorably to previous maps.
User DefunctHunk bluntly stated: “Have they EVER received positive feedback about the inclusion of water? Why are they insisting on shoving it in wherever possible?”
Meanwhile, another user, Windyandbreez, said: “Throughout gaming history water levels have been a major turn off for players of all genres… so what makes them think doing a level that’s 50% water a good idea? Yeah, hard pass. I dropped out during Caldera or whatever that last map was called. I’ll drop out again.”
Despite the backlash, Avalon is not officially confirmed as the next Warzone map. However, the existence of such a developed map suggests that Activision may have plans to utilize it in some capacity.
Gameplay Features And More Leaks
In addition to the map, a series of clips showcasing new gameplay features also leaked online. These include a “human meat shield” feature, sideways diving and shooting, and omni-movement capabilities. Much like the map footage, these clips were promptly taken down, but not before generating significant discussion and speculation among fans.
