Square Enix Holdings Co Ltd SQNXF has announced that Final Fantasy 16 will be available for PC starting September 17, 2024. This release comes after the game’s initial launch as a PlayStation 5 exclusive in 2023.

According to IGN, the PC version of Final Fantasy 16 will be priced at $49.99. Alongside the base game, the two DLC expansions—Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide—will also be released.

The pricing for these expansions individually has not been specified, but Square Enix will offer a Complete Edition for $69.99. This edition includes the base game, both DLC expansions, and additional in-game items.

A demo for Final Fantasy 16 is available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Progress made in the demo will carry over to the full game. This will allow players to try out the game before its official release.

Development and System Requirements: The development of the PC port follows statements from Naoki Yoshida, the game’s producer, who had previously indicated that a PC version was not planned.

However, by September 2023, Square Enix confirmed the development of the PC port. In March 2024, Yoshida mentioned that the PC version was in its “final stages of optimization” and noted that the system requirements would be “somewhat high.”
