It's been a year since Take-Two Interactive Software Inc‘s TTWO Rockstar dropped the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, and fans are growing restless.
With no updates from the developer, the community is grasping at straws — whether it's scrutinizing YouTube playlist tweaks, analyzing images of the moon, or battling a wave of AI-generated fake leaks.

GTA 6’s Playlist Updates
According to IGN, Rockstar's official YouTube channel recently updated its playlists, sparking speculation about a possible second trailer. While some believe it signals an announcement is close, others argue it's just routine housekeeping.
Meanwhile, fans have latched onto images of the moon, claiming they might contain cryptic hints about the game's next big reveal. So far, these lunar theories haven't led anywhere, but that hasn't stopped the speculation.
Adding to the chaos, GTA 6 subreddit moderators are tackling a surge of AI-generated images falsely presented as leaked screenshots. The rules are clear: "Fake ‘leaks' and misleading AI-generated content will be removed," moderators warn. Despite their efforts, these fake posts continue to muddy the waters, frustrating fans eager for real news.
Trailer 1 Revisited
With no new material from Rockstar, some fans have returned to dissecting last year's trailer. From counting the number of feet in the video (152, if you're wondering) to calculating the holes in a cell door net, the community's attention to detail is unmatched. Unfortunately, these efforts haven't uncovered anything groundbreaking.
Rockstar remains silent about GTA 6, while publisher Take-Two still lists fall 2025 as the release window for the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
