Members of TikTok’s Sway House are showing their support for hometown communities, with a donation of 100,000 masks.
What To Know: TikTok influencers Josh Richards, Noah Beck, Griffin Johnson, Bryce Hall and Blake Gray teamed up with Bella+Canvas to donate masks to schools across the United States and Canada.
The donation was part of an effort to honor their heritage and responsibility toward hometowns.
"Giving back is something I’ve always known I wanted to do. I’m honored to finally have that opportunity thanks to Bella+Canvas," Gray said. "In a tumultuous time such as this that we’re in, it feels good to be able to make people laugh and smile through our content and to be able to give back."
Why It's Important: Benzinga Founder and CEO Jason Raznick on his show the Raz Report recently chatted down with Josh Richards, a Canadian-born TikTok influencer, entrepreneur and podcast star, to talk about his journey, secrets to success on social media, as well as his vision for the future.
During the podcast, Richards expressed his appreciation for giving back and noted many of his recent initiatives, such as starting a podcast with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, are “to motivate people.”
In a statement to PEOPLE about the donation, Richards said, "In a time where so many are in need, this was the least I could do. I look forward to continuing my philanthropic journey and giving back to those who supported me."
