Buffett Doubles Stake in MasterCard

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway BRK reported after the bell today that it had doubled its stake in global payments company, MasterCard MA over the past three months. According to the 13-f filling, Berkshire now owns 405,000 shares, up from 216,000 shares on March 31st. Shares of MasterCard are flat in the after hours session, trading at $335.01. They ended the regular session higher by 2.11%, at $335.00. MasterCard Incorporated is a global payments company that provides a economic link among financial institutions, businesses, merchants, cardholders and governments worldwide, enabling them to use electronic forms of payment instead of cash and checks. Berkshire Hathaway Inc. is a holding company owning subsidiaries engaged in a number of diverse business activities. Berkshire's Insurance businesses are conducted on both a primary basis and a reinsurance basis.
