Cracking The Code: 26-Year-Old Frankie LaPenna's Secrets To Viral Success, Billions Of Views

Millions of people post short videos on TikTok, YouTube and other social media platforms every day.

Few of those people will get more than 1,000 views on those videos. Even fewer will break the 10,000 mark. Only a very select number of users will ever see one of their videos surpass the 100,000 view mark. But then you have Frankie LaPenna.

If you scroll through Lapenna's Instagram Reels, run by parent company Meta Platforms META, it's rare to find one of his videos with less than a million views. If you add up his total views across all social media platforms, LaPenna has garnered billions of views.

During a recent appearance on “The Raz Report,” he spoke to Benzinga co-founder Jason Raznick about his meteoric rise to social media success. "In 2023 alone, my videos had more than four billion views," LaPenna told Raznick.

LaPenna has been actively posting videos for four years now, and blew up during COVID-19 with his green screen Zoom call videos in which he pretended to be on Zoom calls while doing a different activity, like skiing or attending an NFL football game.

LaPenna attributed his rise to fame to the intentions behind his videos. Unlike other influencers, he said that he never makes videos to go viral or garner millions of views. Instead, LaPenna is more focused on just making great videos and content that he would enjoy. 

You might recognize LaPenna not from his face, but from one of his biggest assets: his backside. LaPenna discussed his growing merchandise line, including shirts and a new board game that features his famous behind.
