The internet is buzzing with rumors and speculation about pop icon Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce potentially dating. While the world can't seem to get enough of the possible new power couple, one TikTok user has gone above and beyond with a wild theory linking the relationship to the fate of the Chiefs' NFL season.
The TikTok conspiracy theory, creative if nothing else, suggests that Taylor Swift's interest in Kelce has an ulterior motive: sabotaging the Chiefs' chances of Super Bowl victory.

According to the TikToker, Grace Weissend, Swift is probably taking care of Travis Kelce's bone bruise that caused him to miss the first game. Since she’s off the tour until November, she conveniently has some free time. Weissend assumes Swift, known for her love of baking, is nursing him back to health with treats to get him out of shape.
But she notes that since Kelce is a professional athlete, he isn't likely to let some baked goods affect his game. The theory gets more intricate when it proposes that by November, Kelce will become emotionally invested in the relationship. When Swift's busy tour schedule limits their communication, Kelce will assume it's due to work obligations. Next, she predicts that Swift will abruptly cut off contact by blocking and ghosting him, leaving Kelce emotionally compromised.
The supposed plot depends on a showdown between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. As an avid Eagles fan, Swift is envisioned in a performing in the halftime show post-breakup with Kelce, thereby unsettling the Chiefs' focus and morale. It's worth noting that the TikToker considers herself a comedian, so her theory isn't meant to be taken seriously.
Segueing from the imaginative to the factual, Kelce attended one of Swift's concerts during the Arrowhead Stadium leg of her Eras Tour in July. He had a particular agenda—giving Swift a friendship bracelet with his number inscribed on it. Though he wasn't able to personally hand it over, his intentions were made clear during a conversation with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, on their "New Heights" podcast.
Ahead of the Chiefs' game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 17, sports analysts and commentators on networks like ESPN and Fox Sports were eager to discuss the rumored relationship. Speculation heightened when a viral photo appeared, showing Swift and Kelce leaving a plane together in Jacksonville. However, some outlets have questioned the photo's authenticity, labeling it as Photoshop.
To further fuel the fire, Swift was seen on September 18th in New York, wearing a necklace adorned with Kelce's birthstone, opal. Coincidence or not, Swift's fans are already weaving additional theories about the budding romance.
Kelce even laughed at sports commentator Rich Eisen's witty remarks that used Taylor Swift song titles. Eisen commented that Kelce's absence had left a 'Blank Space' in the game but predicted he'd make a noteworthy return as the 'Anti-hero.'
