Most people know Aaron Rodgers as the star quarterback of the New York Jets. But there's more to Rodgers' life than what you see on the field. He's also a co-founder and general partner of RX3 Growth Partners, a consumer growth equity firm that helps brands realize their full potential.

For a better understanding of Rodgers' approach to investing, it helps to look at where RX3 has put its money to date. Some of its most successful investments include:
- Full Swing
- Therabody
- Manscaped
- Hydrow
- Super Coffee
- Orgain
- Chemical Guys
- Hims
RX3 is disciplined in its selection of companies, with its website stating, "We look for brands that stand for something and echo the values of the RX3 community. In doing so, we foster authentic, long-term relationships between our brands and our influential network."
Rodgers Turns To StartEngine For A Community Round
On the field, Rodgers is known for his creativity both in and out of the pocket. The same holds true for Rodgers the investor, which he recently displayed when he turned to StartEngine to raise a community round for his new venture Online Sports Database (OSDB).
StartEngine offers investors the opportunity to buy equity in early-stage companies.
The prospective Hall of Famer expressed excitement about allowing fans to invest in OSDB.
"I like the idea of giving fans the opportunity to invest and get behind something they feel connected to, like OSDB," Rodgers told Bloomberg, highlighting his dedication to involving fans deeply in the initiative.
This approach is reminiscent of Rodgers' former team, the Green Bay Packers — the only fan-owned NFL team that gives a smaller town an NFL presence.
Initiated in 2021 by Rodgers and actor Ryan Rottman, the idea for OSDB sparked during a dinner.
Rottman noted, "We went to dinner one night, and I just said, ‘As an athlete, is this something you think you would utilize? Like, do you think it would help you? Do you think people would care?'"
OSDB has data on 26,000 athletes and aims to introduce a subscription version this month.
Just as nobody doubts Rodgers' ability on the field, the same holds true for his investing prowess. Even though the venture capital market has declined for most of 2023, his RX3 fund raised $150 million in May. This goes a long way toward showing the confidence investors have in Rodgers and RX3 as a whole.
