The 2025 NFL Draft is complete, and attention turns to how rookies will factor into their new team's depth charts for the next season.
Here's a look at the early Rookie of the Year betting odds.
Offensive Rookie of the Year: The quarterback position remains one of the most important in the NFL and last year's 2024 NFL Draft saw Jayden Daniels win the offensive rookie of the year after being one of a record-tying six quarterbacks drafted in the first round.
In the 2025 NFL Draft, there were only two quarterbacks drafted in the first round. Cam Ward is the number one overall pick by the Tennessee Titans. Jaxson Dart was selected later in the first round by the New York Giants.
In the last two seasons, the second overall pick and quarterback selected second in the draft has won the Rookie of the Year. Daniels won last year and C.J. Stroud won the year before that.
While Dart went later in the first round, he would fit that current trend of being the second quarterback drafted and the best rookie. Dart isn't expected to start in the 2025 NFL season with Russell Wilson brought in to lead the way, but who knows what will happen.
The big storyline in the 2025 NFL Draft was Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders falling out of the first round and dropping down to the fifth round where he was taken by the Cleveland Browns who now have five quarterbacks competing for the starting role including Sanders and fellow 2025 NFL Draft pick Dillon Gabriel, taken 94th overall in the third round.
Sanders will have a chip on his shoulder after falling in the draft, but given the Browns' depth at the position, he may not see the field next season.
Here are the current betting odds for the 2025 Offensive Rookie of the Year from DraftKings Inc DKNG:
- Ashton Jeanty (Raiders, RB): +200
- Cam Ward (Titans, QB): +230
- Travis Hunter (Jaguars, WR): +750
- Tyler Shough (Saints, QB): +1,200
- Tetairoa McMillan (Panthers, WR): +1,400
- Omarion Hampton (Chargers, RB): +1,600
- Quinshon Judkins (Browns, RB): +1,800
- Shedeur Sanders (Browns, QB): +1,900
- TreVeyon Henderson (Patriots, RB): +2,000
- Colston Loveland (Bears, TE): +2,200
Of the top betting favorites, Shough, Judkins, Sanders and Henderson were all drafted after the first round. Over the last 10 seasons, the offensive rookie of the year has come from the first round eight times, with Alvin Kamara (second round) and Dak Prescott (fourth round) the exceptions.
Shough could be the immediate starter for the Saints and get a chance to compete for the award.
Another trend to watch will be the tight end position with Brock Bowers (Raiders) placing second in voting last year after breaking several records for the position. No tight end has ever won offensive rookie of the year.
Tight ends Loveland and Tyler Warren (+3,000) were first round picks who will be likely day one starters and could compete for the award as long as no quarterback has a huge season.
In the last 10 seasons, there have been five quarterbacks to win the award, along with three running backs and two wide receivers.
Travis Hunter is the other topic to watch as he is a two-way player and expected to play both wide receiver and cornerback for the Jaguars, who moved up to take him in the 2025 draft.
Fanduel, owned by Flutter Entertainment FLUT, also has betting lines of Hunter winning either rookie of the year award at odds of +440 and odds of him winning both offensive and defensive rookie of the year at +5,000.
With Hunter playing both sides of the ball, it may hurt his chances of winning either award, while playing both positions likely helped him winning the Heisman Trophy, which went to the best overall college football player for both offense and defense.
Across the last 10 drafts, the second overall pick won five Rookie of the Year awards for either offense or defense. That trend that could favor Hunter.
Ahead of the 2024 NFL season, first overall pick QB Caleb Williams (Bears) was the early favorite, while Daniels was listed with odds of +650.

Defensive Rookie of the Year: On the other side of the ball, the defensive rookie of the year has been dominant by players taken in the first round.
Of the last 10 NFL Drafts, nine of the defensive rookie of the years came from the first round with the 19th pick or earlier. The one exception was a player taken 36th overall in the second round.
The defensive rookie of the year has been fairly evenly split by position with three linebackers winning, three defensive ends winning, three cornerbacks winning and one defensive lineman winning.
Here are the betting favorites for defensive rookie of the year at DraftKings:
- Abdul Carter (Giants, Edge/DE): +250
- Travis Hunter (Jaguars, CB): +750
- Mykel Williams (49ers, Edge/DE): +900
- Jalon Walker (Falcons, LB): +900
- Jihaad Campbell (Eagles, LB): +1,200
- Mason Graham (Browns, DT): +1,400
- Shemar Stewart (Bengals, Edge/DE): +1,600
- Mike Green (Ravens, Edge/DE)): +1,600
All the favorites were first round picks, outside of Green, who slid to the second round.
Last year, Jared Verse started the season ranked fourth at +1,100 odds after the NFL Draft before going on to win the defensive rookie of the year. Cater, who was considered the top prospect in the draft by some experts, is likely to stay the defensive favorite until the season begins.
