If you’ve had trouble building an itinerary or list of things to do while on vacation, meet RoamAround.io, a site using AI to help you with all of your trip-planning needs.
How It Works: Type in virtually any destination and how long you will be there, and Roam Around will give day-by-day suggestions for activities.
But the platform doesn’t stop at giving overall suggestions for trips. Through its artificial intelligence, Roam Around has the capability to learn what users prefer when traveling, such as type of restaurants, hotels and attractions. Search results can be customized by adding specific requests such as “make it family friendly.”

White-Glove Service: Founder Shie Gabbai wants to bring this type of white-glove service to the travel industry.
“If you think about how the ultra-rich travel, they aren’t picking plane seats or hotels,” Gabbai said. “They have travel agents that know if they prefer window or aisle seats, if they want an Airbnb or a hotel. Roam Around will ultimately allow people to get this same type of experience. Just as Uber brought chauffeurs to the masses, Roam Around is putting a travel agent in everyone's pocket.”
The exciting thing about Roam Around, Gabbai said, is the technology and capabilities are only going to improve. And as the site grows, Gabbai plans on adding more tools to make it even easier for people to plan trips, such as booking hotels and plane tickets straight from the website.
Roam Around could act as a potential disruptor to travel stocks such as Expedia Group Inc EXPE or Booking Holdings Inc BKNG.
Roam Around is an example of how innovators are looking to implement AI into virtually every industry, including leisure and travel.
