(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLUG#NASDAQ">PLUG</a>) has secured a purchase&nbsp;agreement with Allied Green Ammonia (AGA) to supply 3 GW of electrolyzer capacity for AGA&#8217;s green <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com//node/42997926" rel="noreferrer noopener">hydrogen-to-ammonia plant in Australia.</a>
To support the plant, AGA plans to construct a 4.5 GW solar facility that will power Plug&#8217;s electrolyzers with clean, zero-emission energy, producing green hydrogen for green ammonia.
With the agreement finalized, Plug will develop a Basic Engineering and Design Package (BEDP) detailing critical technical and engineering specifications to attract investors and secure financing.
Upon a positive Final Investment Decision, expected by the second quarter of 2025, Plug aims to start manufacturing and delivering Proton Exchange Membrane electrolyzers in the first quarter of 2027.
AGA&#8217;s project, one of the largest green ammonia facilities globally, is designed to produce 2,700 metric tons per day of green ammonia. This output will cater to growing demand from customers in Asia and Europe across sectors like agriculture, energy storage, transportation, and industry.

We expect that during their conference calls, company managements will discuss how AI may be starting to boost their productivity. <li>Plug Power (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLUG#NASDAQ">PLUG</a>) was up 7.98% following the Biden administration&#8217;s announcement of new rules allowing some nuclear power plants to qualify for tax credits when producing clean hydrogen.</li>
<li>General Motors (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GM#NYSE">GM</a>) was up 1.26% and Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/F#NYSE">F</a>) was up 1.42% after reporting strong 2024 sales. Both carmakers&#8217; sales grew by over 4% for the year, which marked their highest overall sales since 2019.</li>
<li>Cerence Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CRNC#NASDAQ">CRNC</a>) was up 20.43% after it announced an extension to its partnership with technology giant Nvidia. It is expected to boost their family of CaLLM language models, including their cloud-based automotive language model.</li>

Crude oil futures were lower in the early New York session by 0.04% to hover around $73.93 per barrel.
The gold spot index was down by 0.37% to $2,644.81 per ounce. The Dollar Index was down 0.32% to 108.606 level.
Asian markets were mostly lower on Monday as Hong Kong&#8217;s Hang Seng, Japan&#8217;s Nikkei 225, India&#8217;s S&amp;P BSE Sensex and China&#8217;s CSI 300 index declined. Whereas, in Australia&#8217;s ASX 200, South Korea&#8217;s Kospi index ended higher. European markets were mixed.

US Stocks To Open Higher In Yet Another Truncated Week: Nvidia, Robotic Stocks In Focus Ahead Of CES 2025

U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining over 300 points on Friday.
Shares of Mission Produce, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AVO#NASDAQ">AVO</a>) rose sharply during today's session after the company reported <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/24/12/42605747/mission-produce-shares-grow-after-strong-q4-results-details">better-than-expected fourth-quarter sales results.</a>
Mission Produce reported quarterly earnings of 28 cents per share and quarterly revenue of $354.4 million, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $220.4 million.
Mission Produce shares jumped 22.3% to $15.07 on Friday.

(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PSNL#NASDAQ">PSNL</a>) gained 32% to $6.94 after the company and Moderna recently announced a multi-year extension to continue utilizing the Personalis ImmunoID NeXT platform and technology for V940/mRNA-4157. The company also announced an investment from Merck.</li>
<li>Enovix Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ENVX#NASDAQ">ENVX</a>) gained 22% to $9.80 as the company shipped first EX-2M samples to mobile phone customers.</li>
<li>Clearwater Paper Corporation (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CLW#NYSE">CLW</a>) surged 21.2% to $29.96.</li>

<li>BlackBerry Limited (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BB#NYSE">BB</a>) surged 20% to $3.58 as the company posted upbeat quarterly earnings.</li>
<li>IonQ, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IONQ#NYSE">IONQ</a>) gained 15.5% to $ 43.63. Craig-Hallum analyst Richard Shannon maintained IonQ with a Buy and raised the price target from $22 to $45.</li>
<li>Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SIRI#NASDAQ">SIRI</a>) rose 10% to $22.59. Warren Buffett acquired 4.96 million Sirius XM shares at an average price of $21.60.</li>
<li>Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLUG#NASDAQ">PLUG</a>) gained 9.7% to $2.5248.</li>

JPMorgan analyst Bill Peterson highlights that while clarity on this $3/kg credit could lift a year-long overhang on PLUG's stock, restrictive guidelines might stifle the company's U.S. growth plans.
