- Microsoft Corp MSFT launched a phased rollout of its EU Data Boundary solution to public sector and commercial customers in the European Union (EU) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) on January 1.
- The phased rollout will apply to the entire Microsoft Cloud suite of online services, including Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure.
- The EU's 2018 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which specializes in user privacy protection, made big businesses increasingly anxious about the international flow of customer data, Reuters reports.
