Russian Agency FSB Discovers Alleged NSA Plot Using Malware Against Apple iPhones to Spy

  • Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) claimed to have detected a U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) plot using previously unknown malware to penetrate specially made backdoor vulnerabilities in Apple Inc AAPL iPhones.
  • The FSB identified victims involving several thousand Apple phones, including domestic Russian subscribers, Reuters reports.
  • The Russian spy agency also claimed telephones belonging to foreign diplomats from Russia and the former Soviet Union, including those from NATO members, Israel, Syria, and China, as targets.
