More than 7 million "Baby Shark" bath toys are being recalled after the toymaker, Zuru, received a dozen complaints about children being injured by the hard, plastic fin on the toy, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The fins have caused impalement injuries, with some even requiring stitches.
The company is recalling both the Baby Shark and the Mini Baby Shark bath toys. Zuru says that customers will be able to receive a full refund for any toys purchased, $14 each for the full-size version and $6 for the mini version.
"Baby Shark" is a children’s song that went viral in 2016 after Pinkfong, a South Korean entertainment company, released a music video on YouTube. The video became the first YouTube video to reach 10 billion views in 2022.
