Eddie Lampert Sells 292,000 Shares of Autozone (AZO)

In a Form 4, filed late Friday, famed hedge-fund manager, Eddie Lampert, is reporting that he sold 292,236 shares of Autozone Inc. AZO at an average price of $205.02. The total transaction totaled $59,913,465. The transactions took place from 07/14/10 to 07/15/10. According to the filing, he still own 4,287,862 direct shares and 10,753,791 indirect shares. AutoZone, Inc. is a retailer and distributor of automotive replacement parts and accessories. As of August 29, 2009, the company operated 4,229 stores in the United States and Puerto Rico, and 188 in Mexico. Each of its stores carries a product line for cars, sport utility vehicles, vans and light trucks, including new and remanufactured automotive hard parts, maintenance items, accessories and non-automotive products.
