Hovnanian Enterprises Inc HOV reported its FQ3 loss at $0.92 per share, as compared with a loss of $2.61 per share, in the year-ago period. The company’s revenue dropped to $380.6 million, from $387.1 million, in the year-ago quarter. The analysts were expecting the company to post a loss of $0.47 per share on $396.1 million in revenue. HOV’s shares jumped 7.60% to close at $3.68 yesterday. Hot Topic Inc HOTT reported a 3.7% decline in its August same-store sales. However, the analysts expected a decline of 6.2% in the same period.
