JBLU Traffic Rises

JetBlue Airways Corp JBLU announced on Friday that its August traffic rose 7% to 2.74 billion revenue passenger miles, from a year-ago fire of 2.56 billion. The airline’s August capacity grew 7.3% year-over-year to 3.17 billion available seat miles. Load factor, or the percentage of seats filled with passengers, declined to 86.4% last month, from 86.6% in August 2009. Shares of JBLU fell 1.57% to $5.63 at 1.20 pm today.
