Dell Inc DELL has announced its plans to purchase a business software company Boomi. The company has not disclosed the financial terms of the deal yet. Shares of Dell are up about 0.10%. Shares of Checkpoint Systems Inc CKP dipped about 13% after the company reported disappointing Q3 revenue and reduced its projections for the year. The company projects full-year revenue in the range of $825 million to $840 million, down from analysts' estimates of $854.4 million. The US dollar fell versus the euro and other major rivals Tuesday, after a surprise rate hike by the Reserve Bank of Australia. The dollar index (DXY) lost about 0.62%. Against the greenback, the euro gained about 0.8492%. US financial sector moved up, led by MasterCard Inc MA and Radian Group Inc RDN. MA reported 15% y/y rise in its Q3 profit.
