Barclays Customers Heart ETFs

British banking giant Barclays BCS, once the owner of the iShares ETF business, says the number of its customers using ETFs has more than doubled in the past two years. The combined value of those accounts are now up more than 330%, Barron's reported, citing a British press report. Leveraged ETFs and funds listed domestically in the U.K. seem to be popular with British investors, along with U.S.-listed fare such as the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index Fund EEM, and the iShares/FTSE Xinhua China 25 Index Fund FXI, Barron's noted.
