By 10:57 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 34.40 points, or 0.30%, to 11,464.85, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had lost 1.77 points, or 0.14%. The NASDAQ composite index rose 4.18 points, or 0.16%.
Some of the narrow based indexes supporting the markets are Respiratory Stocks, which have gained 8.6%, Semiconductor Fabricator Stocks, up 1.8%, and Chinese IT Stocks, moving 1.7% higher as a group.
In Tickerspy's Respiratory complex, InterMune Inc ITMN had surged 106.8%. The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has backed the ITMN's experimental lung drug Esbriet.
The best performing Tickerspy Semiconductor Fabricator stock has been Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp SMI, which was up 2.5%. SMI's trailing-twelve-month revenue is $1.48 billion.
HiSoft Technology International Ltd HSFT is today's leading Tickerspy's Chinese IT stock, gaining 5.3%. HSFT has priced its follow-on public offering of 5,000,000 American depositary shares at $26.00 per ADS.
