Nicole Kidman Lives In Some Amazing Onscreen Homes. Offscreen, Her Real Estate Portfolio Is Just As Impressive

Nicole Kidman has been a regular fixture on our screens for over thirty years. As her roles have evolved in recent years, so have the homes she has inhabited. From the icy chic of the Park Avenue Upper East Side apartment in 2019’s The Goldfinch to the stunning Pacific Palisades home with Ocean Views in 2024’s Family Affair to the sprawling, palatial Nantucket estate in the Netflix miniseries The Perfect Couple and the forthcoming erotic thriller Babygirl, Kidman’s on-screen homes have exuded a glamorous sophistication, like the actress herself. Despite this, these on-screen homes pale in comparison to the real-life international property portfolio of Kidman and her husband, Keith Urban.

Nashville Primary Residence

Kidman and Kiwi country rocker Urban, who wed in 2006, started amassing their international collection of homes soon after. With Urban’s career based in Nashville, the perfect showbiz couple has chosen to live full-time far from the trappings of Hollywood. They own a 10,925-square-foot primary residence in the upscale gated community of Northumberland, which they purchased for $3.47 million in 2008. The seven-bedroom, eight-bath home is a relaxing family haven they share with their two daughters, Sunday and Faith.

“Keith and I are very good at immediately clicking off because we have a really good life in Nashville that’s very simple, quiet, and nourishing because we’ve made it like that,” Kidman told Harper’s Bazaar in 2018.

Beverly Hills

Kidman and Urban purchased a home in Beverly Hills for $4.7 million in 2008 in the Post Office neighborhood. The 3,977-square-foot home features stone and concrete construction, a flat roof, a second-floor wraparound deck, and various shaded patio areas.

Australian Farm

The Aussie/Kiwi couple was keen to invest closer to home, making 2008 a busy property-buying year. They purchased a rustic farm called Bunya Hill in Sutton Forest, New South Wales, Australia, for a price reported to be between $4.5-$6.5 million. The 110-acre estate's main house, a Georgian mansion, was built in 1878.

Sydney Penthouse

Not content with splashing out nearly $15 million in one year, the Kidman/Urbans spent another $4 million in 2009 on a Sydney penthouse overlooking the Harbor Bridge and Lavender Bay. The minimalist home was the first of several they purchased in the building. In 2011, they bought a $1.8 million unit and soon after spent $4.7 million to buy a second large penthouse, which they combined to form one large home. In 2021, they added a two-bedroom unit for $1.87 million, which rents $840/week. In 2022, they purchased another one-bedroom unit for $909,000 on the fourth floor. They weren’t done yet, though. As recently as 2023, they bought a three-bedroom apartment on the 15th floor for $5.2 million.

Downtown Manhattan

No property portfolio is complete without something in New York, and in 2010, Kidman and Urban spent $10 million on a condo in the West Chelsea neighborhood of NYC. The home featured a car elevator that transported vehicles to a parking space on the 10th floor, helping to make the building paparazzi-proof. The 3,248-square-foot residence has three bedrooms, two terraces and a double-height great room with a 23-foot cathedral ceiling.

In the early months of the pandemic, with New Yorkers fleeing the city, the couple made a savvy move and purchased a two-bedroom pied-à-terre in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood for $3.5 million. Again, the home is paparazzi-proof, with three separate entrances and garage parking. Amenities include a 75-foot indoor lap pool, rooftop gardens, firepits and an approximately 2,200-square-foot fitness center.
