Green Mountain GMCR announced it was buying Van Houtte, the maker of the popular Keurig coffee machines. Now when I spit out my coffee reading the Wall Street Journal every morning after some ridiculous story, I can make sure I'm spitting out the Green Mountain coffee from my Green Mountain coffee maker.
AIG AIG said this morning that it is working on a way that would end government aid to the embattled insurance company. Yea, it's called inventing a time machine and going back and getting rid of your Financial Products unit.
There were many news outlets that reported yesterday that Microsoft MSFT is planning a debt sale to raise its dividend, and increase a stock buyback. Now Microsoft can make bond investors even more boring with its lack of innovation and the blue screen of death.
