Psychedelics company Red Light Holland Corp. expects its common shares to start trading Thursday on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the ticker symbol "TRIP."
The Ontario-based company announced Tuesday that it received conditional approval to list its common shares on the CSE.
"We are elated to be publicly-listed with the CSE as truly our tag line has come to fruition: 'Underground to Mainstream,'" says Red Light CEO and Chairman Todd Shapiro. "Our entire team at Red Light Holland, including two who are born and bred in the Netherlands, are excited for this venture aiming for Red Light Holland to be the most popular Truffle brand in the world."
Subsequent to the CSE listing, the company expects to produce and distribute its premium brand of psilocybin truffles in the Netherlands, utilizing its subsidiaries.
The company also reported it finalized reverse takeover transaction with Red Light Holland Financing Inc. and Red Light Holland Debt Inc. on the same day it obtained CSE approval.
Red Light Holland appointed Bruce Linton, the co-founder and former CEO of Canopy Growth CGC, as chairman of its advisory board.
Under Linton's guidance, the Smiths Falls, Ontario-based cannabis giant, became the first North American company within the cannabis market to become listed on a major stock exchange (TSX).
"Red Light Holland's progress to date, including its receipt of approval to list on the CSE, is another example of the strong leadership I am proud to back," said Linton.
Last month, Linton backed CBD startup Omura by joining its latest fundraising event, which made a total of $5 million.
Red Light Holland Corp. said it has tapped Russell Peters, a Canadian stand-up comedian and producer, to join its team.
The company named Peters chief creative officer. He will serve as an independent consultant and obtain 3 million of the company's common shares at 6 cents per share.
"I am extremely pleased to appoint Russell Peters as Chief Creative Officer," stated Shapiro. "As one of the most popular entertainers across the world, Russell brings a creative mind like no other to Red Light Holland."
