MediPharm Launches RHO Phyto Sublingual Sprays Via Deal With Avicanna

MediPharm Labs Inc. LABS MEDIF expanded its product portfolio by introducing sublingual sprays as part of a deal with Avicanna Inc. AVCN AVCNF.

The new product format would be marketed under Avicanna’s RHO Phyto medical brand.

RHO Phyto Rapid Act Sprays will be available through the Medical Cannabis by Shoppers online healthcare platform in the weeks to come.

MediPharm Labs CEO Pat McCutcheon said that Avicanna opted for MediPharm Labs because of their “pharmaceutical-quality production capabilities,” adding that patients will be “delighted with the quality and reliability of RHO Phyto Rapid Act Sprays.”

Avicanna CEO Aras Azadian stated that MediPharm’s team “continues to impress.” He further explained that the new product offering would provide patients with an “advanced solution for acute relief and an incredible candidate for replacing inhalation products.

In May, the two companies inked a three-year, multi-faceted partnership over production, domestic and international distribution, as well as intellectual property licensing.

Under the agreement, MediPharm Labs agreed to manufacture Avicanna’s RHO Phyto medical cannabis products and Pura Earth dermacosmetic topicals.

Meantime, the Toronto-based biopharmaceutical company said Monday, it has completed exports of CBG and CBD isolates into the United States as well as the export of CBD isolate into Germany.

Moreover, pursuant to the deal with TruTrace Technologies Inc. TTT TTTSF, it introduced a pilot tracking system for the export of its active pharmaceutical ingredient products.
