Exclusive: SōRSE Technology Forms JV To Incorporate Cannabis Company In Colombia

SōRSE Technology is entering into a joint venture with Colombia-based FCM Global to incorporate a new company in Colombia, Benzinga has learned.

SōRSE will now have access to a license, which allows it to deploy its technology to manufacture products containing THC, CBD and other cannabinoids in Colombia. The company will also be able to export these products, featuring its emulsion technology, from Colombia to other Central and South American countries.

The products will be labeled as “SōRSE by FCM GLOBAL.”

Per the agreement, FCM Global will provide SōRSE with all required licenses and permits to produce cannabis derivatives in Colombia. In addition, FCM will provide the facilities and local resources for the production of the products, sales and outreach support, and CBD oil.

SōRSE will offer intellectual property, know-how and equipment to build a lab, as well as technical support in sales efforts.

“With SōRSE Technology joining FCM Global, the top supplier of cannabis oils, extracts, and isolates, Latin America customers will receive the same low production costs and high quality they have come to expect from FCM – now with water-soluble solutions,” FCM co-founder and CFO Alejandro Marin told Benzinga.

Felipe Sanchez, SōRSE's VP for Latin America added, “SōRSE by FCM GLOBAL will deliver safe, stable, and scalable ingredients for Latin America’s product development needs, such as cosmetics, topicals, edibles and pet products.”
