MY Self Wellness, a mental health and wellness center offering psychedelics-assisted therapy, announced the launch of the nonprofit organization Warriors of Consciousness to help make ketamine treatments more affordable for those in need.
The psychedelic treatment, which is not covered by insurance, typically costs somewhere near $500 per session and likely involves the need for multiple sessions regimen in order to produce therapeutic effects.
"Warriors of Consciousness is our solution to a problem that affects so many people: they need help but aren't in a financial situation to experience ketamine treatments. We saw a need for help, and we took action," said MY Self Wellness CEO Christina Thomas.
The company’s chief education and chief brand officer Charles Patti said he was proud of the new launch. "Having spent many years not receiving the right treatment to cultivate healing, I know first-hand how powerful and therapeutic ketamine can be, and how this medication can help people create a joyful, purposeful life."
Donations to Warriors of Consciousness can be made via credit or debit card or crypto payment and 100% of the proceeds from merchandise sales go toward the charity. Importantly, donations will be directed to treatment at any approved ketamine clinic throughout the U.S.
The Florida-based MY Self Wellness clinic is led by a group of psychiatrists, registered nurses as well as infusion and integration specialists. Its services include several administration forms of ketamine-assisted therapy, medical cannabis recommendations and additional vitamin and nutrition therapies, all of which can be combined to assist patients with depression, anxiety, addiction and PTSD to achieve the most comprehensive mental reset possible.
Responding to recent Hurricane Ian and its devastating consequences, MY Self Wellness will donate 10 treatments to storm survivors who lost everything and urgently need help.
