B-Real's Dr. Greenthumb's Dispensary Chain Will Open New Stores After Parting Ways With Its Corporate Partner

Dr. Greenthumb's Worldwide, the well-known cannabis dispensary chain founded by legendary Cypress Hill rapper B-Real, and its long-standing partner LAHC, Inc. have announced their mutual decision to part ways. The split was caused by the rapidly evolving landscape of California's cannabis industry, as both parties sought greater control over the direction of the brand and operations.

As a result of the split, the former Dr. Greenthumb's DTLA dispensary, located at 2019 Pasadena Ave., Los Angeles, will operate under a different name and ownership. The loyal customers at this location will see a change in the overall dispensary space as the new agreement takes effect.

Separately, B-Real announced that he is building a more active and hands-on managerial model to continue scaling his enterprise and vision. The rapper explained he wants to amplify and extend the culture that honors individuals who are unapologetically themselves, as the cannabis industry continues to evolve.

The good news is that Dr. Greenthumb's Worldwide has several new dispensaries in the works. The company is set to announce additional city-wide and regional locations, including a new dispensary under construction in Van Nuys, with an estimated opening date of early spring 2023. There will also be a new location in Oxnard.

Nationally, B-Real has recently executed expansion projects in Michigan and Washington, with more details to be announced soon.
