Earlier this week, "The Daily Show" guest host Marlon Wayans and panelist Dulcé Sloan discussed the dangers of edible weed packaging, which is sometimes mistaken by children for popular candies and cereals.
The FDA has issued a warning about the accidental ingestion of products containing THC, as it can lead to serious adverse effects, especially in children.
To prevent children from getting into edibles, Sloan suggested that adults should stop taking them altogether and "grow up... Smoke a [bleep] blunt like you pay taxes," she said.
Sloan also proposed changing the packaging to be less attractive to kids, suggesting putting them in a math book that "only nerds would find."
Another hilarious solution to the problem proposed by Sloan was to change the edibles themselves, suggesting green bean edibles with "vitamin T, H, and C." Marlon Wayans was not convinced, noting that no one would want to consume such a product.
The Daily Show's segment provided a humorous take on a serious issue, offering creative solutions to prevent children from accidentally ingesting edibles. With Sloan's witty suggestions, perhaps the packaging and the product itself will be reevaluated to ensure the safety of both children and adults.
