CNBC's Tim Seymour Says Cannabis Investors May Find Positive Catalysts In Unexpected Places

Tim Seymour, founder and chief investment officer of Seymour Asset Management (SAM) and Trader on CNBC’s “Fast Money,” is a featured speaker once again at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference this coming April 11-12 in Miami. And, you will not want to miss what he has to say.

Seymour Asset Management provides asset and wealth management services to its clients.  Tim is also the portfolio manager of the Amplify Seymour Cannabis ETF CNBS.

With a background in emerging markets and new asset classes, Seymour was an early investor in the cannabis sector.  Via his role on CNBC, Tim has also been a key thought leader for the sector dating back to 2016.  You’ll want to get in on what he has to say about the industry’s current, and sometimes volatile, movement.

“Cannabis investors in the last two weeks have seen a whipsaw that would be in high demand at Six Flags or Hershey Park, but has been painful when investing in an already volatile asset class,” Seymour co-wrote in a November opinion piece with Brady Cobb.

“The excitement around legislative catalysts to re-rate the sector higher has hung over the market for the last fifteen months and provided periods of exhilaration. However, it has also left investors nauseous as follow-through has been hard to come by,” they wrote.

As SAFE Banking was ultimately left out of any year-end legislation, the cannabis sector plummeted and investors have been left asking what’s next?

Seymour told Benzinga he believes that with sentiment on the sector at muti-year lows, investors may find positive catalysts in places they did not expect. "Clearly, the legislative pathway appears challenging in the near to medium term. Re-rating of the sector will come from within as companies become more efficient operators and real CPG sector qualities continue to evolve."

As a hedge fund manager and investor who has been participating in the sector going back to 2016, you won’t want to miss out on what Tim Seymour has to say in Miami.

Come and meet Tim Seymor in person as well as other leaders in the cannabis industry at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference at Miami Beach’s historic Fontainebleau Hotel in Florida on April 11-12. This is the place to get DEALS DONE, raise money, jumpstart M&A, and meet investors and key partners. Secure your tickets now before prices go up.
