'F*ck With Me, I'm Gonna Come For Your Family:' Pot Store Owner Threatens Ex Workers & More Weed Chronicles

Elev8 Cannabis Retail Licenses Suspended After Owner’s Threats

“When anger rises, think of the consequences.” - Confucius

In the case of cannabis retail chain owner, Oluwaseun Adedeji, the consequence is the suspension of retail licenses.

What happened

The Massachusetts State Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) suspended the retail licenses held by Elev8 Cannabis Inc. after Adedeji threaten former employees on social media, writes Green Market Report.

Per the CCC report, Adedeji posted a five-minute video on Instagram where many threats and comments among which are the following:

for my all old employees, if you step on my fucking property without my permission, bro, on god, you will feel it

goofy ass people fucking, fucking with my business, don’t ever fuck with my business. Y’all goofy ass boy. I’ll put a bounty on you…

you touch my business, I will kill you. No, boy. I will not kill you. You fuck with me I’m gonna come for your everybody. Your whole family tree…”

Adedeji was also making gestures with his hands like he is holding a weapon.

Back in February, the CCB issued a Notice of Intent to Limit Sales of Marijuana and Marijuana Products arguing that Elev8 made 10 substantial violations of commission regulations.

Quickly after, Adedeji informed CCC that he had promoted an employee to interim chief executive officer. About three weeks post-promotion the owner fired the appointed interim CEO, after which the general manager and the entire staff in one of the stores quit.

All this has led to the controversial Instagram post, which was removed, and the account closed.

“By threatening to commit acts of violence, including sexual assault, against former employees and their families, respondent, through the acts of Mr. Adedeji, poses an immediate or serious threat to the public safety and welfare,” the commission stated.

As per the reports, Adedeji is in police custody.

Teacher Arrested For Bringing Weed And Alcohol To Middle School

If you watched Bad Teacher comedy starring Cameron Diaz then you have an idea of what recently happened at Third Creek Middle School in Statesville, North Carolina. One teacher was arrested on several drug-related charges after his colleagues reported to authorities that they have noticed a strong marijuana odor coming from his classroom, reported Fox 8 News.

Iredell Country Sheriff’s Office revealed that upon sensing the smell, school staff members immediately asked the School Resource Officer to investigate.

It turns out that Thobani Viki, a substitute teacher who was working there for less than two weeks, had marijuana, several packages of rolling paraphernalia and four cans of Twisted Hard Iced Tea, which contains alcohol.

Viki was arrested at the school and moved on to the Iredell Country Detention Center. Later on, he was charged with cannabis and cannabis paraphernalia, and alcoholic beverages on school property – all of which are considered misdemeanors. Viki was issued a $10,000 secured bond and is currently on probation.

“I am proud of the fast actions of Third Creek Middle School staff members as well as the investigation conducted by our School Resource Officer,” Sheriff Campbell said. “This is a prime example of why having SROs at every school is so vital to the safety and security of our schools.”

Heathrow Cannabis Smuggling Drama Continues

At least 26 people were arrested for smuggling cannabis from the U.S. to the UK since the beginning of the year.

In January, when things started to heat up, Heathrow, the UK's biggest airport announced a plan to increase security checks for passengers coming from Los Angeles to London. Why? Because of a flurry of marijuana-smuggling arrests in previous weeks.

The drug smugglers weren’t flying from Los Angeles only, but also from Las Vegas, Washington D.C., Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and also from Toronto, Canada. Despite UK’s efforts to put these cases under control, the pot smuggling incidents continue.

At the beginning of March among those arrested at the airport on the same charges was a 23-year-old male model, who’s been working for renowned brands like Gucci and Moncler, and a 29-year-old strip club server from Texas, reported SF Gate.

With weed still being illegal in the country, most of the offenders were sentenced to between eight and 32 months.

Some of them tried to defend themselves arguing they were not aware of what’s been in their suitcases, while others admitted to smuggling due to the desperate need for money to support their families.

NCA Heathrow Branch Commander Andy Noyes stated: “Couriers are often recruited with promises of payment or free holidays. But in reality, these attempts just end in jail sentences. I’d urge anyone considering smuggling cannabis into the UK, whether from the US or elsewhere, to think twice. It isn’t worth the risk.”
