Emerald Peak Partners Launches To Help Cannabis Companies With The Unique Challenges They Face

Restructuring professionals Tom Lynch and Tim Bossidy launched Emerald Peak Partners, a cannabis advisory firm founded to guide companies through their most complex business challenges in an industry that demands expertise. EPP will be focused on restructuring, corporate governance, interim management and operational improvement to allow businesses in the cannabis sector to reach their full potential and sustain success.

“We are thrilled to announce the official launch of Emerald Peak Partners as a dedicated advisory firm for the cannabis space,” stated Lynch, co-founder of EPP. “Tim and I have developed a passion for this space over the years and saw the need for a firm that not only knows the unique challenges cannabis companies face but has the experience and tenacity to guide management teams and boards through challenging situations and help them emerge stronger on the other side.”

As the cannabis industry faces a myriad of challenges, EPP will work with boards, management teams and key stakeholders to devise customized solutions in response to balance sheet issues, corporate governance challenges, litigation, new regulation, operational pain points and the difficulties that come with rapid growth. EPP will offer fiduciary services, including independent director and board services, stakeholder-appointed board positions, and receivership, as well as financial restructuring and operational improvement driven through interim management, consulting, and advisory services.

“The cannabis industry faces some of the nation’s most onerous tax and regulatory burdens on top of unique operational challenges and limited options to raise capital or restructure balance sheets,” stated Bossidy, co-founder of EPP. “The years ahead will be pivotal and Emerald Peak Partners seeks to help its partners survive and thrive so they form the foundation of a global, multi-billion-dollar CPG and healthcare industry.”

In addition to their leadership roles at EPP, both Lynch and Bossidy will maintain their current positions at SierraConstellation Partners, a national interim management and advisory firm serving middle-market companies, with whom EPP will enjoy an affiliate relationship.
