Pennsylvania freshman senator and one of the loudest cannabis allies, John Fetterman, has once again shown support for cannabis policy reform.
On Thursday, the former Lieutenant Governor of the Keystone State tweeted a photo of him holding a flag bearing the phrase, "It's 420 somewhere."

Fetterman, a Democrat, also reacted to news that Pittsburgh medical marijuana workers are looking to unionize.
You know what goes great with some weed? A Union.https://t.co/Cf3OHHKPzX

A series of tweets followed in which the senator called for more freedom for those working in the cannabis industry, legalization of marijuana and end of the "racist war on drugs."
Fetterman has been serving as the junior U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania since November after defeating Republican Senate candidate and celeb TV doctor Mehmet Oz, following months of Oz mocking and goading Fetterman as part of his Senate campaign.
In August, Dr. Oz mocked his opponent's health, who suffered a stroke in May. Earlier this week, the Pennsylvania Democrat returned to the U.S. Senate after taking leave in February to address his clinical depression by seeking treatment.
Fetterman: Outspoken Cannabis Advocate
As part of his campaign for the 2022 midterm elections, Fetterman backed cannabis legalization on several occasions.
"It's high time that we get our sh*t together and legalize weed in P.A. + USA. More justice, jobs, revenue, and freedom," read the description on the top-selling campaign T-shirt sold last year on Fetterman's website for $35 as part of the campaign.
Last year, Fetterman told Forbes that cannabis "never should have been illegal in the first place."
"This is a plant with no known medical overdose," he continued. "This is a plant now that's helped 350,000 people, just in my state alone, with their medical issues."
Fetterman even urged President Joe Biden to "use his executive authority" to deschedule marijuana ahead of Biden's 2022 Labor Day visit to Pittsburgh.
Fetterman continues to call on Biden to begin the process of rescheduling marijuana so that "people convicted of nonviolent offenses can go on with their lives," Fetterman's communications director told Marijuana Moment.
