Weed-Infused Aphrodisiac Product Hits The Shelves In New York City, 1906's 'Love' Beans

The cannabis brand 1906 is selling its special edibles line called "Love," which includes CBD and THC-containing chocolate beans that act as psychoactive aphrodisiacs and enhance a person's sex life, or so we’re told.

“After eating 15 milligrams of THC and CBD in the form of three five-milligram beans, I felt more sensitive to physical touch and had a more intense orgasm than if I were sober,” Insider’s Julia Naftulin wrote several years ago and we’re assuming she’s still having a blast.

These Hot Love Beans Are Now Available In The Big Apple

The Union Square Travel Agency in the East Village is advertising the dark chocolate weed beans as “exotic herbs renowned for their love-enhancing properties” to “increase sensuality.” And they are apparently fast-acting, with a 20-minute onset, so make sure you’re close to home when you try them!

With weed products infused with aphrodisiacs as well as other equally attractive extracts, herbs, ancient remedies and essential oils coming out by the dozens, New York regulators seem delighted.

“There’s a huge evolution in the cannabis market. It’s giving consumers better choices about the experiences they want,”  John Kagia, director of cannabis policy for NY's Cannabis Management Office, told The NY Post. “Cannabis infused with aphrodisiacs is one of the categories where there is huge innovation. People want to improve their sexual experience."

But Athletic Performance Enhancement? Don't Tell The World Anti-Doping Agency

Though it’s been presumed for a while that cannabis can act as an aphrodisiac, Kagia also told the Post that cannabis is being used to improve athletic performance.

I wouldn’t mention this in front of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), which suspended sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics when she tested positive for cannabis, one of WADA’s prohibited substances.

Kagia mentioned fitness, health and mental alertness, referring to the well-known runner's high, which has to do with a burst of endorphins, not necessarily cannabis consumption, though it probably can't hurt...or so we're told.
