As voter-approved psychedelics legalization and regulation of assisted treatments move forward, ancillary businesses are also starting to pop up.
Such is the case of Denver-based Mush Love Genetics, a mushroom spore distributor for microscopy research purposes, which announced it is offering some of the market’s “top rare mushroom strains.”

In addition to its widely known psilocybe cubensis strains, Mush Love's several varieties are beginning to gain popularity in the psychedelic mushroom research community, as there are over 200 different species of psilocybe species and each holds within hundreds of varieties, several of which have been genetically isolated.
Some of them include:
-
Jack Frost mushrooms are a relatively new and extremely potent variety born out of the combination of two already-potent varieties. Its name derives from the soft white color their bodies take on as they mature.
-
Enigma mushrooms are potent although strange in terms of appearance. Their particular presentation owes to their origin, a mutation of psilocybe cubensis that makes them look like coral reefs. Also, they do not propagate through spores unlike other types of mushrooms but through cloning, which makes up for the enigma surrounding it.
-
Pearly Gates mushrooms, a cross between True Albino Teachers and Melmac mushrooms are considered very, very potent.
-
Yeti mushrooms, a genetic isolation of True Albino Teachers, are also white and relatively new, and also potent.
-
Penis Envy mushrooms are an old, “legendary” and very potent variety.
The company says it has an extensive collection of premium spores, “all of which go through multiple rounds of quality checks and assurances before being made available for purchase.”
The available list spans from the very popular strains to some lesser-known mushroom varieties with interesting effects. When new varieties arise and become popular, Mush Love does the research and testing needed to ensure safety and high quality toward supplying the spores to customers.
Other potency analysis (and product offerings) includes Eden Shrooms’ spores syringes, with several locations throughout the U.S. including of course Colorado and Oregon.
