Yay! The DEA came up with seven activities to get a natural high that doesn't involve drugs. Snorkel, jet ski, get sunburnt. Can’t wait!
“From creative expression to outdoor adventures, these activities can give you a natural high that lasts,” says the fun-loving agency. “Don’t let boredom be one of the reasons you try drugs. Try these fun activities and get a natural high!”
Post Photos Of Yourself?
“It’s fun to post pics on Instagram and also see what your friends are doing on the app,” says the DEA. Okay, is that a little creepy, or am I showing my age?
On its ‘7 Better Highs’ page, the DEA also suggests that learning to sing by taking voice lessons on YouTube produces a groovy natural high. Sure, just ask any rock group (or fan) from the '60s or '70s…they never smoked weed or took psychedelic drugs!
What’s Up With The DEA?
One wonders if being silly while insulting the intelligence of our teenagers may have to do with the fact that the agency is ‘celebrating’ its 50th anniversary of having spent more than $1 trillion with little to show for itself except for its failed war on drugs that negatively affected the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, the vast majority of whom are people of color and poor communities.
Oh well, I need to get back to my game of marbles before temptation sets in.
