Acclaimed Latin American rapper Akapellah has made a groundbreaking entry into the U.S. cannabis market with the release of his own pre-rolled joint brand, Los Porros de Don Pedro. In exclusive conversation with El Planteo, the most-read cannabis news source in the Spanish-speaking world, the artist revealed us that these joints are a special collaboration between the Latino-owned delivery service, Yerba de la Buena, and O.B.G., Akapellah’s crew. Witnessing the evolving social acceptance of cannabis, Pedro argues for its worldwide legalization, especially emphasizing the harsh penalties in Venezuela, his home country. "The way it's criminalized in Venezuela is brutal," he said. "Someone might face years in jail for possessing an amount that shouldn't warrant such punishment. The mere possession, regardless of quantity, leads to criminal charges."
