Tilray's New Cannabis Strains By Redecan: Here's Where To Find These Innovative Products

Tilray Brands, Inc. TLRY TLRY is expanding its market-leading product portfolio by launching new flower genetics by the cannabis lifestyle brand Redecan.

"We are thrilled to unveil the first Redecan innovation following our acquisition of HEXO Corp," said Blair MacNeil, president of Tilray Canada. "This is a pivotal moment for Redecan, marking a new era in our journey to deliver unparalleled quality and experiences to cannabis consumers across Canada."

Redecan introduces a limited-edition series of exclusive whole-flower cannabis genetics, including two Indica strains:

  • King Sherb, which combines the genetics of OGKB V2.1 and Blue Sherbert. With primary terpenes including limonene, caryophyllene, myrcene, and farnesene, King Sherb's has distinct scents of pungent funk, cream and diesel.
  • Animal RNTZ, a combination of Animal Cookies and Runtz, which delivers fruity tartness and a sweet and sour aroma informed by high levels of caryophyllene, limonene, ocimene and bisabolol. The strain comes in 3.5g & 14g formats.

These new cannabis strains - available in Ontario, Alberta, and coming soon to British Columbia - join the brand's product portfolio, including consumer favorites like Wappa, Cold Creek Kush and Glueberry OG.

"With the introduction of our limited-edition strains, we are pushing the boundaries of cannabis cultivation and taking our commitment to product excellence to new heights," MacNeil continued. "These new offerings build upon Redecan's legacy of best-selling products and set the stage for continued evolution of the brand."

HEXO Deal

The acquisition of HEXO enabled Tilray to double its pre-roll segment share, even as it maintains a diversified portfolio with 161 SKUs listed, according to Zuanic & Associates.

Last year, upon closing the acquisition deal, Irwin D. Simon, Tilray's chairman and CEO, called the move "a unique opportunity to realize our vision to enhance consumer experience and lay the groundwork for the next evolution of Canadian cannabis."

Simon, who leads one of the largest Canadian cannabis companies in the world, delivered the keynote speech at last year's Beniznga event, which returns this September in Chicago. Another top cannabis expert, analyst Pablo Zuanic will share his insights at this fall's event.

Price Action

Tilray's shares traded 2.01% lower at $2.92 per share during the pre-market session on Thursday.
