New THC Beverage To Hit Shelves In The Golden State

Cannabis beverage products provider Nevis Brands Inc. NEVI has secured an agreement with Los Angeles-based Blaze Life Holdings LLC to produce and distribute Major in California.

Major will be available in 5 flavors: Sunset Pink Lemonade, Pacific Blue Raspberry, Sacred Grape, Volcanic Orange Mango and Passionfruit.

It's a dosable 100mg THC beverage that delivers the effects of cannabis within 10-20 minutes of consumption. The Seattle-based company said that over 4 million bottles of Major have been sold since its initial launch in Washington State in 2019.

The company anticipates production and distribution to begin in 2023. The has grown Major's market footprint to a total of 7 states.

"California is a large, developed cannabis consumption market and we look forward to Major being available to consumers throughout the state before the end of 2023," John Kueber, the company's CEO, said. "In less than 100 days, we have added two new states for our products and are especially excited to be offering Major in the largest cannabis market in the United States."

Meanwhile, cannabis companies continue to dip their toes into the beverage space and vice versa.

Canadian cannabis giant Tilray Brands, Inc TLRY recently acquired the remaining 57.5% equity ownership of Truss Beverage Co. from beverage company Molson Coors Beverage Co TAP. That deal is expected to expand Tilray into the billion-dollar functional drinks category.
