Celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day on October 9 by supporting Native American-owned businesses, including Canndigenous.
The Cambridge, Wisconsin-based company launched in 2021 as the first Native American-owned CBD hemp company in the state.
"Doing things in a good way this holiday means considering the impact you make with your purchases. By supporting Native American-owned businesses, you help promote a better future for Indigenous people," said Rob Pero, founder and proud member of the Bad River Tribe. "Of course, this doesn't just apply to Indigenous Peoples' Day, but it's a good reminder to seek out excellent products made by Indigenous people and to shop intentionally."
Here's How To Show Support
To support and celebrate Native American-owned businesses this Indigenous Peoples' Day, try these three CBD Hemp products:
- For The Mind Gummies, which include CBD and CBG molecules that attach to the brain's CB1 and CB2 receptors, causing an increase of the neurochemical anandamide. Known as the "bliss molecule," anandamide promotes feelings of happiness and mental balance. For The Mind gummies contain 25mg of CBD and 25mg of CBG.
- For The Body Gummies help with pain relief and relaxation. They contain 25mg of CBD and are designed to alleviate inflammation and manage pain naturally with organically-grown hemp distillate.
- Forbidden V Strain is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain curated for mood improvement, sharpened focus and body relaxation. Forbidden V has an intense aroma of citrus and tropical fruit, lemon zest and pine with a subtle sweetness. It contains 5.36% CBD, 5.30% CBDv and less than 0.3% THC and is available as flower or pre-rolled.
All Canadian products can be purchased online for in-store pickup or nationwide delivery. Canndigenous' retail arm is the Ripley Green retail apothecary location in downtown Cambridge.
Meanwhile, the Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association (ICIA) is poised to host its second annual National Indigenous Cannabis Policy Summit. Scheduled for Nov. 1-3 in the nation's capital, the event aims to position Indigenous voices at the forefront of cannabis legalization and advocacy discussions.
