Michael Johnson, CEO of Metrc, spoke at a panel called “Turning Regulatory Requirements into Operational Efficiencies” at Benzinga’s Cannabis Capital Conference. Johnson shared that when looking at the regulatory customer, it is important to expand that definition.
He expanded and added, “For over a decade, ‘customer’ was a state regulator and to be very clear, it still is, but we've expanded that to mean licensees, folks that are inside cannabis, cannabis consumers, non-consumers that are trying to learn about things within the cannabis space and perhaps most importantly third party integrators.”
